The directors and staff of OAL shall safeguard and keep confidential all personal information in our possession or control relating to clients in accordance with governing laws, regulatory authorities, Rules of Professional Conduct/Code of Ethics and OAL policies.

 

Engagement Terms & Consent

The terms and conditions of every OAL professional services engagement are documented in each proposal/ engagement memo (Engagement Letter).  By signing Engagement Letter, the client will be providing consent to OAL for the agreed terms including collection, use and disclosure of information.

 

Collection & Retention

OAL shall collect and retain only such personal or business information as is necessary for the purposes required to fulfill their engagement responsibilities.  Personal and client information shall be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes or for professional, regulatory or legal requirements.

 

Use of Information and Access

Client information shall be used only for the purpose for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or entity or as required by law.  Upon request, a client will be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of their personal information and granted access to their information.

 

We use third party software for the collection, processing, retention and reporting of information. We will use all reasonable measure to ensure that such information stay confidential.

 

We will not sell or rent any client’s personal or business information to any third party.

 

Confidentiality by Staff Members

All employees and sub-contractors, who have access to client information, are required to sign a confidentiality agreement upon the commencement of employment/work with OAL.

 

Safeguards

We will take all reasonable measures to protect personal information against loss or theft as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
